The datification of society and economy and the acceleration of the digital transformation imposed by the pandemic mark a growing and pressing need for graduates able to combine sound knowledge of economics, finance and business with IT and data analysis skills.
The aim of the bachelor's degree in Digital Economics and Business is to train three professional figures – data-driven economic and financial analyst, data-driven business analyst, and data analyst for economics and business – to produce relevant information by analysing business, economic, and financial data to guide and support the decision-making process. The unique aspect of these profiles is the data-driven approach, according to which relevant information is delivered as the result of data management and processing. This is an innovative programme within Italian public universities, where bachelor programmes in economics and business held in English are traditional and not combined with data science and digital technologies.
